Plant Description
Grafted-top Cactus (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii)
The Grafted-top Cactus, also called Moon Cactus, is a strange plant that is actually the “flower” at the top of the plant. It somewhat lacks the ability to produce chlorophyll which means that it must be grafted onto a “host”, in this case the green part. Nonetheless, they still appear as beautiful decor inside the home.
Grafted-top Cactus (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) Care Guide
The Grafted-top Cactus are more inclined in an indoor space near a bright window. They only need about 1 to 2 hours of slanted sunlight a day, anything more will result in the cactus getting sunburned.

Two-in-One
The grafted top cactus isn’t just one cactus, it is actually two! The brightly colored top is a mutant variation of the standard cactus, it has no chlorophyll (green pigments) so in order to photosynthesize it has to attach to a rootstock plant, which is the green part on the bottom. Together they make a unique cactus loved by many plant owners.
Brighten any Space
The vibrant yellows, reds, pinks and purples of the grafted top cactus are sure to turn heads. With a little water and a generous amount of sunshine it can be a favorite for many years. Grafted top cacti make great gifts for anyone.
